Indiana Pacers star Roy Hibbert was at an intersection Monday when he noticed a police officer from the Indianapolis Metropolitian Police Department get out of his car and give a homeless man a pair of boots.

Hibbert snapped the photo of the officer giving the man the boots and immediately put the photo up on Twitter. Since then, the photo and the story of the kind gesture has gone viral.

The homeless man, Fred, took the boots even though they weren't his size because he says the knows someone that could use the boots. The police officer that made the donation has yet to come forward, and may never will.

For the past several weeks we have seen a number of police officers from around the country in the news for all the wrong reasons. It is refreshing and encouraging to see that there still are some really good police officers on the street. We salute the officer, and Fred, for making such a kind donation to someone in need.
