Professional Surfer Mick Fanning was attacked by a shark while competing in South Africa.

Just as the surfer was making his way off shore, the shark attacked him. Luckily Fanning was able to escape the attack unharmed as rescuers pulled he and another competitor from the water.

The pro surfer says that he was able to allude the shark by punching it on it's back. Still, organizers felt the need to cancel the competition for the day.

Fanning says that is he okay, but just a little shaken up by the terrifying experience. I ask, how do you ever get back in the water after this incident? We're just glad the surfer was pulled to rescue, and lived to tell his story.
