Louisiana folks with spoiled dogs get a kick out of bringing their dogs to coffee shops to get a 'Pup Cup', which is just a mini cup of whipped cream.

As a fellow dog lover and owner, I have often times used this as an excuse to indulge in a $7 coffee and bring my dogs along to go 'Bye-Bye'.

Dog owners across Acadiana are in for a special treat, but this one is strictly for the dogs.

Bakery Specializing in Healthy Dog Treats Opens in Lafayette

A local mother-daughter duo, Heather and Kamryn Daigle, has opened a bakery specializing in healthy dog treats called Pure Paw Bakery.

Heather Daigle tells The Advocate that all the treats are made from scratch with organic ingredients, "I always enjoyed baking, so I started making treats for my dogs about two years ago because the store-bought treats have ingredients that didn't sit well with me."

Pure Paws Bakery's treats have all been successfully state tested by Daigle's two pit bulls, Kash and Luna. She explains that she wanted to give her dogs the best quality treats possible, free from harmful fillers, additives, preservatives, and artificial flavors.

This doggy-focused bakery is on a mission to offer everything from Pup Cookies, Custom Cakes, Peanut Butter Bites and," to serve Acadiana locally and make sure their pups are happy."

Customers can place their orders on the Pure Paws Bakery Facebook page and have their order shipped to their front door.
