Race Against The Clock Blood Drive Kicks Off Today

Typically, during the summer months, our community blood supply dwindles. There are many factors that contribute to a lower supply, including summer vacations, higher blood use (more crashes and injuries), a break in routine (because kids are out of school), etc.

Our radio stations have partnered again this year with Vitalant to help alleviate the blood shortage in Acadiana. The Race Against the Clock Marathon Blood Drive not only helps replenish the supply of blood in Acadiana, but it also gives donors the opportunity to win great prizes.

Those prizes range from a $250 Amazon gift card to a Samsung smart watch to a 32" Roku Smart TV and lots of other great prizes.

Every donor will receive a Race Against the Clock event t-shirt, a pint of Blue Bell ice cream, a coupon for a free dozen donut holes from Rickey's Meche's Donut King, a McDonald's coupon for a free McCafé item and a $25 Amazon gift card (online reward).

All donors will also get to spin the Prize Barrel to receive an additional prize. And finally, all donors are entered to win a $6,000 Dream Vacation!

The Race Against the Clock Marathon Blood Drive will take place on Thursday, July 11 from 7 am to 10 pm and Friday, July 12 from 8 am to 4 pm at Vitalant, 1503 Bertrand Drive in Lafayette.
