Popular Louisiana Breakfast and Brunch Chain Coming to Lafayette
Lafayette was heartbroken to learn that Denny's, the affordable American diner, would no longer be opening a location in town in March 2024. The good news is that another popular breakfast and brunch spot is confirmed to fill that void.
New Orleans-based Breakfast and Brunch Restaurant Announces Lafayette Location
Jennifer and Erich Wieshaupt opened the first Ruby Slipper in New Orleans and have since opened several others in the city, as well as Baton Rouge, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, and North Carolina.
The Acadiana Advocate reported that Lafayette Consolidated Government granted a permit for the space initially supposed to be Denny's at 4701 Ambassador Caffery Parkway in the Ambassador Town Center for Ruby Slipper.
About Ruby Slipper
Ruby Slipper is famous for its biscuits that are made completely from scratch, baked fresh every day, and served with a house made cane syrup butter.
They offer sweet and savory breakfast and brunch favorites like French Toast Bites, Loaded Tots, Biscuits and Gravy, and so much more.
Of course, they also have a Mimosa flight and other brunch cocktails, like their Award-Winning Bloody Mary. If you are looking to try something new they also offer a Lavender Paloma and a Boozy Iced Coffee.
They are open from 7 a.m. to 2 pm Monday through Friday and 7am to 3pm on the weekends.
There are no specifics on when construction will begin or what their projected opening day might be just yet, but we hope it is sooner rather than later; we can't wait to have this popular brunch spot in our city.
