Saints Add 2 More Players To NFL Pro Bowl Roster In Cook & Peat

New Orleans Saints football ended too soon this season.

After a shocking loss last Sunday in the NFC Wild Card round to the Minnesota Vikings, the Saints cleaned out their lockers and began their offseasons.

A number of Saints will play in one more game this season, as New Orleans will be well represented in the Pro Bowl on January 26th in Orlando.

The All-Star exhibition lacks much physical play, and never feels like a true competition among the NFL's elite.

After 7 Saints were selected to the team last month, 2 more were added today as first replacements.

Tight end Jared Cook and left guard Andrus Peat have been added to the roster, bringing the Saints total to a single-season franchise record of 9 Pro Bowl players.

Both players were in the Pro Bowl a season ago, with Cook appearing on the AFC team as a member of the Raiders. It's the second Pro Bowl appearance for each.

Cook replaces Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz, while Peat replaces guard Brandon Scherff of the Washington Redskins.

Ironically, two Saints who were voted 1st team AP All-Pro in linebacker DeMario Davis and right tackle Ryam Ramczyk are not current on the Pro Bowl team.

Cook and Peat will join quarterback Drew Brees, left tackle Terron Armstead wide receiver Michael Thomas, defensive end Cameron Jordan, cornerback Marshon Lattimore, kicker Wil Lutz and rookie return specialist Deonte Harris.
