The entire Northwestern Local School District in Ohio was forced to cancel school as a result of a senior prank.

Seniors Justin Weekly, Taylor Monroe, Stewart Parrott and Anthony Esposito were all charged with vandalism and disrupting public service—both felony charges—after they were accused of letting the air out of 24 school buses' tires by breaking off the valve stems.

According to WHIO, that is the entire fleet of buses in the school district, and as a result, their prank led to the closure of all schools. In addition to letting the air out of the tires, the students left chalked messages that said:

To have school, or to not have school? You have been pranked by the seniors of 2015

The only problem for the teens was that no one was laughing.

Even the most lenient parents who wouldn't typically believe in repercussions for senior pranks believed the students went too far. The district's superintendent says the students dude "real damage" and will have to "pay for it."

In addition to the thousands of dollars to repair the school bus tires, the fact that parents of the 2,000 students in the disrict were forced to get last minute child care for their children means that not many in the community will be on their side.

The district is currently determining what their "maximum punishment" will be.
