Shaking Out the Good Stuff — 3rd Annual Concert for a Cure Set for July 15
Our friends with FUNraisers for St. Jude are putting on their 3rd annual Concert for a Cure and it's a good one.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 15th at Evangeline Downs in Opelousas for a day and evening full of fantastic live entertainment.
This year's lineup of entertainers includes:
- Alex Touchet - 1:00 pm
- Louisiana Red - 2:30 pm
- Kaleb Olivier Trio - 4:00 pm
- Clay Cormier - 5:30 pm
- Marc Broussard - 8:00 pm
Music will start at 1:00 pm at the Event Center at Evangeline Downs and will run through 10:00 pm.
Prior to Marc Broussard hitting the stage, a live auction will be held.
Tickets are on sale now for $50 a ticket and can be purchased here. (The event is only open to those 21 and up.)
There are also VIP tables for sale. Each one sits eight people and comes with 40 drink tickets and food.
All proceeds from the event will go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
About FUNraisers for St Jude
In November 2019, seven friends came together to form FUNraisers for St Jude. Each had worked together volunteering at other events in the community but all wanted to do more.
Several of the members ran in the St Jude Marathon in Memphis and that's where the desire and passion to do more for St Jude began.
Simply put, this group came together to raise money and awareness to end childhood cancer.
The group has since grown exponentially and last year collectively they raised over $200,000 for St Jude. This year, they have a goal of $250,000 and they'll no doubt achieve this through events such as Concert for a Cure.
