The Internet Reacts to Solange Knowles’ Son Rapping on TikTok

Some families are extremely talented. Artists, Singers, Actors...every member of the family tends to have some sort of ability along those lines. It's hard not to when you grow up around them and in that environment.

But sometimes....sometimes, the talent skips you or doesn't bless you as much. It doesn't decrease your value or talent in other aspects...just not the one your family is known for. Case in point: Solange Knowles' son, Julez Smith.

The 17-year-old took to TikTok to show off his rapping skills...being the son of Solange and nephew of THE Beyonce and Jay-Z, people were expecting much more than what they got.

It wasn't THAT bad...right? Well, the internet and the comments did not agree with me. It got a little crazy under his video and on Twitter.

Like I said, being in a talented family is one thing. Being in Beyonce's family tree?? You're under a different type of pressure and your talent scale is held in a way higher regard.

It's unfair because Solange and Beyonce' are once-in-a-lifetime (or family) talents. I don't know if this was a serious attempt at music, or if he was just doing his best...the internet immediately struck.

Sometimes...it just needs to be said.
