After 21 years, the death of Tupac Shakur remains one of hip-hop’s biggest crime mysteries. But reports have surfaced that Suge Knight has implicated two individuals responsible in the killing of the late rapper on September 7, 1996 in Las Vegas.

According to U.K.'s Daily Mail, Knight has revealed through a signed affidavit from his attorney, Thaddeus Culpepper, that he was the intended target of the drive-by shooting on that fateful night in Las Vegas. The document states that the former Death Row Records CEO "has known for many years that Reggie Wright Jr. and his ex-wife, Sharitha [Golden], were behind the murder of Tupac and attempted murder of Knight." The now incarcerated Knight also alleges that the hit was part of Sharitha’s attempt to take over Death Row Records.

All of these claims are featured in the new documentary, Tupac Assassination: Battle of Compton, which is available on Amazon and other digital platforms. According to reports, Knight supports all of the information detailed in the aforementioned documentary. The affidavit also claims that Knight knows who murdered 2Pac’s rap rival, The Notorious B.I.G., as well.

Wright Jr. denied the claims in a 2015 interview with AllHipHop.com and pointed out that several people who had accused him of Shakur's murder had died in the past decade. He believes the next person could be Tupac Assassination co-director Richard Bond.

“I ain't predicting no death on anybody, but they better get their selves right,” he said. “They better stop with all this bullcrap they've been promoting, because they're all dying like flies around here.”

Knight is currently in jail awaiting his trail on murder, attempted murder and two counts of hit-and-run stemming from a 2015 incident. He faces life in prison.
