Bayou Country Superfest

The organizers of Bayou Country Superfest have announced via social media that the country music festival will be "on hiatus until further notice."

Bayou Country Superfest over Memorial Day weekend at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge drew only about 50,000 people. That is less than half the crowd that showed up the last time the two-day country music event was held in the Capital City.

Forecasters say temperatures in the Baton Rouge area could be almost as hot as the music on stage this weekend.
