Graduation

Although he was run over by a car at 14-months-old and paralyzed from the waist down, Patrick Ivison didn’t let his disability stop him. In fact, the California native learned how to kayak, ski, play rugby and even surf. And now he has one more amazing feat to add to his accomplishments after managing to walk during his high school graduation on Tuesday.

South Carolina parents attending a high school graduation at the Florence Civic Center in South Florence last Saturday were warned in advance not to cheer for their children as they received their diplomas or they’d risk being thrown out of the ceremony. Well, one particularly proud mother choose not heed the warning and cheered, anyway. And, boy, did she pay the price.

If you're a Danish high school student, you have a lot to look forward to like graduation, senior trip, and just maybe a little porno flick in front of your parents.  O.k., maybe your only looking forward to a few things, you wouldn't want to watch a romantic movie in front of your family right?

With another school year winding down, another senior class is looking forward to taking that memorable walk up to the podium at their graduation within the next 30 days. This year the Class of 2012 will be closing one chapter, and beginning another. Every graduating class usually chooses a theme, as well as a song. But what will that one song be?

Since the economy took a turn for the worse, more and more young adults are moving back home with their parents after graduating from college, and this could be one reason why: recent grads are making less now than they did a decade ago.

For all of you future graduates, take some serious notes here. Like you, I too have seen graduates do so form of celebration the minute they have their diploma in-hand. However, what happens here should discourage you of any future celebrating while on-stage, and while the cameras are rolling.
