Last month we brought you the story about the Baton Rouge Zoo wanting the public's input in helping name their new baby giraffe. The nomination process is over and the top three names have been revealed.

A couple welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world at 7:18 pm on January 21 at Oschner Medical Center in Baton Rouge.

The Baton Rouge Zoo is asking for the public's help in naming one of their new residents, a male reticulated giraffe who was born the day after Christmas.

Cafemom.com came up with a list of The 25 Best Quirky Baby Girl Names by State and, no surprise here, a Louisiana inspired name made the list.
