Teurlings Catholic High School is returning to a hybrid model after a student contracted COVID-19. Contact tracing showed that the COVID positive student was in close proximity to others, which has caused 33 students to be quarantined.

A Facebook post shows the details of a memo put out by Teurlings Catholic High School (TCHS) to parents of students concerning the quarantine of 33 students that have been in contact with a student testing positive for COVID-19. The below memo was posted to the 'Lafayette Coronavirus Updates' Facebook page which you can find here

The memo comes directly from Principle of TCHS, Mr. Michael Boyer.

TCHS' hybrid model will begin tomorrow, October 1st and accommodates an A/B hybrid class format so that less students will be on campus each day. This will allow for all students present to better socially distance themselves as recommended by the Louisiana Department of Health and CDC.

As a graduate of TCHS, I know that Principle Boyer and the rest of the faculty at Teurlings are keeping student health at priority number one. I hope that any students affected by COVID-19 recover well so that everyone can get back to a normal school year as soon as possible.
