Scam Alert: Text Message Appears To Be Coming From FedEx, It’s Not Though

Con artists are sending text messages that appear to be coming from FedEx, but they are not. In the text message, there is a link embedded with instructions to click on the link to track your package. 

I got the text message earlier this week and I knew that I was not waiting on a package to be delivered. Thus, I did not click on the link and I am glad that I didn't.

By clicking on the link I'd have given the thieves the opportunity to get into my phone and would have allowed them to have access to private information on my device.

All in all, if you ever receive a text message asking for private information it is probably a scam and you should BLOCK the sender immediately.
