Thanksgiving Pie Flavored Jello Shots
Yes, Please! Thanksgiving brings us a variety of delicious pies, but when dinner and dessert is over, sometimes you might need something a littttttle bit stronger to deal with your family during the football games. How about jello shots that you can make ahead with Thanksgiving pie flavors? Ummm....yes. All it takes is a little advance preparation, and you are the hit of the party! Or family gathering! Or maybe just by yourself!
Thanks to Delish.com for the recipes, a few of my favorites are below, but you can check out the entire lineup and choose what is soon to be your new favorite. Happy Thanksgiving, y'all!
- Cherry Pie Jello Shot:
- Dissolve 3 oz. cherry-flavored Jell-O in 1 cup boiling water, then add 1 cup of cold vanilla-flavored vodka and 2 tbsp. chopped cherries, and mix. Divide the mixture into four mini graham cracker pie crusts, and allow to set 8 hours. Top with whipped cream and a cherry.
- Pumpkin Pie Jello Shot:
- Sprinkle 2 packages unflavored gelatin (like Knox) over 1 cup water into a medium saucepan, and let sit. Then turn up heat, and add 1/2 cup canned pumpkin pie mix and stir. Allow mixture to simmer, then set aside to cool. Add 1/2 cup white rum and 1/2 tbsp. heavy cream. Pour into 8 mini graham cracker pie crusts, and allow to set 8 hours. Top with whipped cream
- Apple Caramel Pie Shots
- Bring 3 cups apple cider to a boil over low heat. In another bowl, sprinkle 4 packages unflavored gelatin (like Knox) over 1 cup salted caramel-flavored (or plain) vodka, and stir.
