The ‘Downtown Chicken Sandwich Snackdown’ is Here

The "Downtown Chicken Sandwich Snackdown" is here, and it is quite a tasty competition!

The gist of the competition is pretty straight-forward: who in Lafayette's Downtown area has the best chicken sandwich?

15 of Lafayette's Downtown restaurants are participating in the event, which is also a fundraiser for Downtown Lafayette Unlimited (DLU), the organization that puts on events like ArtWalk, Movies in the Parc, and Downtown Alive! For every chicken sandwich sold at any of these 15 restaurants, $1 is donated to DLU. So you get a great sandwich, and Acadiana gets to keep enjoying the free events Downtown Lafayette is known for.

Once you've tried all 15 (can you get it done prior to July 4??), you can submit your votes online for the best of the bird. Here is a list of the participating restaurants from the Downtown Lafayette Snackdown page:
