(Lafayette, Louisiana) - As we move closer to Winter and Christmas, we are approaching Crawfish season. Surprisingly enough some boiled seafood restaurants already are serving some delicious mud bugs. But with crawfish season underway we wanted to list off the top 5 boiled seafood restaurants according to Yelp.

So with that being said let's dive right into the list. In the words of Mulan's Li Shang "Let's get down to business"! (This list will only have seafood restaurants that are in the city of Lafayette)

5. Dwight's

Coming in at number five, we have Dwight's. Dwight's is located at 4800 Johnston St Lafayette, LA 70503. Some would say Dwight's needs be higher but this ranking is according to Yelp. Not only can you get great boiled crawfish at Dwight's, but you can also get some amazing Cajun cuisine in the form of plate lunches.

Local Review: Get there early because they will sell out of crawfish quick, because they are that good. Our server could've answered our question about the menu in more detail, but was very friendly—a great spot if you want to get traditional, delicious Cajun food.

4.  Fiery Crab

With the number four spot, we have Fiery Crab. Fiery Crab is the only restaurant on the list that is a franchise; however, it is a Louisiana franchise. The only locations are in Louisiana, but they have locations in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lake Charles, Kenner, Alexandria, Gonzales, Harvey, Houma, Hammond, Denham Springs, Metairie, and Chalmette. The Lafayette location is 2330 Kaliste Saloom Rd Lafayette, LA 70508. I personally like Fiery Crab because it's the most different on the list. The way they season their boiled seafood is unlike the others on the list. They have multiple flavors with Fiery Cajun, Garlic Butter, Lemon Pepper, Louisiana Style, or the Fiery Special which mixes all the flavors together. You can also pick your spice level. Those aspects make this place the most original on the list.

Local Review: Delicious boiled seafood! I tried this place out for the first time tonight. Excellent boiled seafood with a variety of flavors and types of crabs. You chose the type of crabs such as Dungeness, King, Snow, Blue Point, crawfish, or shrimp. Then you can choose a flavor of boil. I got garlic butter which was simply amazing!! Some items like the Dungeness crab and King crabs were a bit pricey but extremely good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The manager checked on us to ensure our service and food were in order. I will definitely return again. There are other types of dishes other than boiled. The seafood gumbo was very good also.

3. Louisiana Crawfish Time

At number three we have Louisiana Crawfish Time. I know it's controversial that Crawfish Time is number three when it's one of the most popular in Lafayette. But according to Yelp, it comes in at number three. I love how crawfish time puts jalapenos in their spicy crawfish orders. Also, the sides they use and their homemade crawfish dip are great. Also, their crawfish are always clean and never dirty. Crawfish Time is amazing and deserves to be on the list. Crawfish Time is located at 2019 Verot School Rd Lafayette, LA 70508

Local Review: #1 BEST CRAWFISH IN LAFAYETTE! You gotta go when it's "in season" to get the mega JUMBO mudbugs!!! Perfect seasoning and get the DIP! Baby DIP!!! My favorite spot!

2. The Cajun Table

With the number two spot, we have The Cajun Table. And in my personal opinion, I feel that the Cajun Table should be number one. They serve the best crawfish in Lafayette in my opinion. They are always big, clean, and super tasty. The seasoning and spice blend they use are phenomenal. They have a super spicy special called hell hole and it's amazing. The Cajun Table deserves all the praise. The Cajun Table is located at 4510 Ambassador Caffery Ste D Lafayette, LA 70508.

Local Review: Eating at The Cajun Table restaurant truly impressed me with their delicious food, exceptional service, and unforgettable crawdad boil. First, let me start with the food. The Cajun flavors were absolutely on point, their nachos were bursting with flavor, spice, and cheese. I probably could have just eaten their fried jalapeños all by themselves. But the crawdad boil was the standout dish of the night, with perfectly cooked crawdads tossed in a spicy Cajun seasoning that left my taste buds dancing with delight. The sides were just as impressive, with the sausage being delicious and juicy, the corn being tender and flavorful, and the cajun dip was perfectly seasoned and great for dipping. Next, let's talk about the service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and welcomed by the friendly hostess. Our server was knowledgeable and prompt. Everything came out quickly and hot, including my Long Island iced tea which was delicious. Finally, the atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxed and inviting, with the decor reflecting the restaurant's Cajun roots. The music was upbeat and energetic country music, adding to the lively and nostalgic atmosphere. Overall, I highly recommend the Cajun Table for anyone looking for great food and crawdads, outstanding service, and a fun dining experience.

1. The Crawfish Spot

And finally, at number one, we have the Crawfish Spot. Personally, this is my least favorite on the list but this is according to Yelp and Yelp said this is the top boiled seafood restaurant in Lafayette. The Crawfish Spot is located at 1899 W Pinhook Rd Lafayette, LA 70508.

Local Review: Great shrimp to go. Always well prepared and several "spice " levels to choose from. Mild Regular and Spicy. We go with the mild, plenty of heat for us. Good always in the count in a boiled pound, 25-30. They have super boiled crabs also if ya desire for a big dinner.

Also, I wanted to give an honorable mention because if it was my personal list this place would be tied with The Cajun Table for number one and that's Snow's Seafood. A family-run restaurant located at 603 E Pinhook Rd, Lafayette, LA 70501. They have incredible flavor and it doesn't matter whether it's the crawfish, the crabs, or the shrimp. They have impeccable service and deserve to be on this list. This is a place that you need to try.

Crawfish season is upon us and these are the best places in Lafayette that you need to try according to Yelp.
