ESPN is reporting that Tyrann Mathieu, "The Honey Badger" may be contemplating taking another shot at making the LSU football team in 2013. Mathieu was kicked off the team last week for violating team and school policy.  According to ESPN, Mathieu had expressed interest in trying to work out things with LSU after he was dismissed from the team for failing substance-abuse tests. He was not dismissed from the university. In order for "The Honey Badger" to return to the team next year, the university president and head coach of the team would have to approve a return.

Mathieu did visit McNeese State University in Lake Charles the same day he was dismissed from LSU, but did not commit to play at the smaller school this year. If he elects to transfer to a Division II school, Mathieu could suit-up as early as this week if he elects. However, there is no indication that he will transfer. Those close to Mathieu say that the NFL is NOT his top priority at this time.
