UL’s Paint The Town Red Today

The judging for Paint The Town Red, UL's Homecoming spirit contest, will take place today.

There will be 2 RVs, with police escorts, making their way through Acadiana today, judging the businesses that are getting into the Ragin' Cajun Spirit by decorating their offices in UL Vermilion and White.

(We know: the picture above is from the French Quarter, and NOT Downtown Lafayette but: it does show some Cajun Spirit!)

Our own JayCee from 99.9 KTDY will be on one of those RVs, using what he knows to make the best judgement as to which business will win the competition. What does JayCee know? Well, he knows boudin, barbecue, chili dogs, candy - he even knows cash! Are we saying that JayCee can be bought for votes? NOT AT ALL!! But, he can be bribed.

All kidding aside, JayCee said that he will be looking for originality, use of each company's "widgets" in their decorations, proper grammar, overall appearance, and "team participation", along with whatever other guidelines provided by the Paint The Town Red organizational committee.
