There is one drawback. Popcorn can be detrimental to your dental work. No, I'm not talking about the fragments that get stuck in your teeth. I am talking about the bone-jarring, filling loosening, sometimes quite painful experience of biting down hard on an unpopped kernel.

Back when I was a kid there were only three ways to get popcorn. One, you could get some at the movies or as we called it, the "picture show". Two, you could ask your mom to purchase some Jiffy Pop in that flimsy aluminum pan that you cooked on the stove.

Or, three, you could use an old-fashioned in-the-fireplace corn popper that usually resulted in minor burns on the hands and clothes that smelled like smoke.

However, no matter which of the ways we chose back in the day, we still had the same problem that popcorn lovers experience today, the threat of unpopped kernels resulting in unnecessary pain and suffering. If only there was a way to eliminate those rock-solid pieces of over-cooked corn. Well, it turns out there is a rather easy way to remedy that situation.

Let us turn our attention to Tik Tok creator @onlyjayus with this ingenious hack for eliminating the unpopped kernels from your palate for good.

To quote the Internet, "I was today years old" when I found out that this is what that little slit is good for. Okay, it does allow for the release of steam during the cooking process too but dang, that's pretty simple.

I hope you stuck around for @onlyjayus hacks on bathrobes and avocados too. It only makes sense that you'd need some popcorn and avocados to enjoy while wearing your bathrobe right? Okay, at least the popcorn trick works.
