Watch Blind Man See Again Thanks to Amazing Technology [VIDEO]
Talk about advances in medicine.
Larry Hester, 66, has been blind for half his life, due to a condition called retinitis pigmentosa. Doctors at Duke University outfitted his left eye with an electronic stimulator that enables him to tell dark from light. He's only the seventh person in the US to receive the stimulator.
As you can see, his reaction is, as he says, "hard to articulate what I was feeling."
Doctors say this milestone represents a potential change, giving hope that one day they may one day be able to artificially restore vision.
