When President Jo Biden and his wife Dr. Jill Biden moved into the White House in January, it was the first time in four years that pets were a part of the first family's daily lives. Animal lovers were delighted, and it was a welcome distraction from all the negativity surrounding the 'peaceful transfer of power'. It was really nice to see dogs running around the White House lawn once again.

And the story was even sweeter because Major, whom the Bidens adopted from the Delaware Humane Association in 2018 after fostering him for several months, is the first rescue dog from an animal shelter to live in the White House. Major was joined by the Biden's other German Shepard, 13-year-old Champ. And Dr. Jill Biden has expressed her wishes to bring a cat to the White House as well.

Well, apparently Champ and Major have been put on the "Bad Dog" list this week, and are being sent home from Washington DC to the Biden's home in Wilmington, Delaware. According to CNN, via Yahoo! News, Major, the younger pooch, "had been displaying aggressive behavior including jumping, barking and charging at White House staff and security." And oh, yeah, there was a "biting incident" that allegedly involved a member of the security team. Yikes. Even though the episode only involved Major, it was deemed serious enough that both dogs are now headed back to their previous home in Delaware. I know the Bidens are probably going to miss their furry friends tremendously. Maybe they should ask for a Presidential pardon....
