YG had a run-in with the law on Sunday morning (June 23).

The Compton, Calif. rapper was driving on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles around 1:45 a.m. on his way to a performance at the 1 Oak nightclub when he was pulled over for weaving in and out of traffic and swarmed by police, reports TMZ. That's when things went a little left. According to the celebrity news site, L.A. County Sheriff's deputies claim the 4Real 4Real rapper got "upset and uncooperative and used profanities toward the deputies." YG is also said to have started "riling up the crowd" who had gathered to watch the chaotic scene.

In video of the incident, multiple police cars can be seen surrounding YG's vehicle. He can be seen handcuffed while several officers mill around. According to TMZ, a sobriety test with a field breathalyzer was administered, but the results determined the "Loko" MC was not under the influence. Police cited the rapper for reckless driving and released him.

Los Angeles is full of rappers for the 2019 BET Awards, which takes place tonight. Cardi B leads all nominees with seven. Drake is second with five. Others receiving multiple nods include Travis Scott, J. Cole, 21 Savage and Childish Gambino. Nipsey Hussle is set to be honored posthumously with the Humanitarian Award.
