Youngsville Mother Makes Desperate Plea, Hopes to ‘Pull at Heartstrings’ to Find Answers About Son’s Death
Youngsville mother Nichole Jagneaux, is still struggling to come to terms with the unexplained death of her son, Javion Batiste, whose lifeless body was discovered in a New Iberia cane field on July 22.
As the investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death remains ongoing, Jagneaux is refusing to give up her quest for answers.
The devastating discovery came after nearly a week of searching, following Batiste's disappearance. The lack of substantial details about the events leading up to his death has left family, friends, and the community in a state of shock and there are still more questions than answers at this point.
Jagneaux laid her beloved son to rest on July 31, but the lack of closure continues to haunt her every waking moment. Despite her own pain and grief, she has taken to social media, posting a poignant message on her Facebook account in a plea to anyone who might possess information about what took place.
In her heartfelt plea, Jagneaux reaches out not just as a mother, but as a fellow human being, urging anyone with knowledge of the circumstances surrounding her son's death to come forward. She appeals to their sense of empathy, reminding them that in a reversed scenario, they too would seek the truth.
"I wanna speak to you from mother to mother. Ma’am if our shoes were on the opposite foot you would want to find out who killed your son. Im not only speaking to a mother im speaking to a father, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, grand parents," she writes in her Facebook post. "If you know what happened to my baby or if you know who did it I need you to say something. I wouldn’t wish this on y’all. No child no matter their situation deserves to be in the situation my son was in. My baby deserves justice. It would be easier if y’all came forward with the truth. I believe the police will find the answers. I know yall living uncomfortably right now. Its no way yall comfortable not knowing when the cops coming. So please do the right thing. My baby deserves that much. I will not stop screaming Javion Batiste until my son gets justice."
As the investigation continues, law enforcement agencies continue their efforts to unravel the mystery behind Batiste's death. While authorities work toward answers, Jagneaux's determination remains unwavering. Her message is one of unity, compassion, and the shared responsibility to ensure justice is served.
As the search for answers presses on, Javion Batiste lives on in the hearts of those who knew him and the determination of a mother who will not rest until justice is served.
