5 Things That Surprisingly Haven’t Happened Since Tupac’s Death

The 90s was a remarkable era in American history. During the 90s we saw the rise of hip hop, the NBA went worldwide due to Michael Jordan, the world of TV received one of the best shows of all time in Seinfeld and the world of movies saw the beginning of Quentin Tarantino, Denzel Washington, and Leonardo DiCaprio. With the rise of hip-hop, two of the greatest rappers of all time stepped into the scene with Biggie and Tupac.

Tupac and Biggie revolutionized the hip-hop genre. However, tragically both were murdered before they could reach their peak. Both murders went unsolved. Well, today(September 29th, 2023) the police arrested someone for the murder of Tupac. The death of Tupac occurred in 1996 and I thought it would be interesting to list 5 things that haven't happened since the death of Tupac. So with that being said let's dive right into the list.

5. Robert DeNiro Hasn't Won An Oscar Since Tupac's Death

Robert DeNiro is arguably the best actor of all time with movies like Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Mean Streets, The Intern, Heat, Raging Bull, Deer Hunter, Jackie Brown, and many more. With so many classic movies you would expect DeNiro to have a multitude of accolades and Oscar wins. Surprisingly though DeNiro hasn't won an Oscar since Tupac passed away. DeNiro's last Oscar was for Raging Bull in 1981. Talk about an abomination. The fact that DeNiro didn't win for Goodfellas, Heat, or Jackie Brown shows why the Oscars are a lame organization.

4. McDonalds Fried Apple Pie

In the 90s as a society, we didn't really care about our health. And you know it's good that as a society we started caring about our health. However, can we get the fried apple pie back from McDonalds? Since the passing of Tupac, we haven't had that fried apple goodness. As someone born in 1994, I may have experienced that once but my older cousins always let me know that I missed out on the best fast food dessert ever.

3. The Knicks Have Not Been A Real Contender Since Tupac's Death

Now I know the Knicks haven't won a championship since the 1970s; however, they haven't been good since the 1990s. And Knicks fans reading this I know will say what about the Carmelo Anthony led Knicks or what about the Julius Randle led Knicks from the past two years? Look don't kid yourself those teams had no chance of winning. Both of those teams were mediocre at best. The last time the Knicks were legitimately good and had a chance at winning the title was before and around the time when Tupac passed away. So if you're a Knicks fan don't get upset with me, get upset with your team.

2. Tom Hanks Hasn't Won An Oscar Since Tupac Passed Away

Personally, I don't have Tom Hanks in my top 5 or top 10 actors of all time but I know that he is renowned worldwide as one of the best actors of all time. So I will say its weird that Hanks hasn't won an Oscar since Tupac died. Hanks' last Oscar was for the movie Forrest Gump in 1995. Hanks has had great movies since then but for some reason, he hasn't won an Oscar. Again this is proof that the Oscars are just trash.

1. The Cowboys Haven't Won A Championship Since Tupac's Death

This list was made specifically to make fun of the Cowboys and Cowboys fans. We dem boys right? Well, them boys haven't won a championship since the 1995-1996 season the year when Tupac passed away. To put it in perspective Jerry Jones the owner of the Cowboys was 54 years old when the Cowboys last won a championship. If you're a Cowboys fan you should feel defeated because deep down you know your team isn't winning any time soon.
