A truck driver was reduced to tears after his semi-truck carrying 44,000 pounds of Miller High Life beer was stolen in Orlando.

Van Thomas worked as a trucker for years until one day he decided to try and live the American Dream by purchasing a truck of his own. Three weeks after buying the truck and setting up his own company Thomas was driving from Texas to Pompano Beach when his big rig was stolen on his last stop before a delivery at an Orange County truck stop.

While speaking with a local news station about the incident, Thomas became very emotional.

I don't mean to cry about it but I'm just trying to do the best I can and make a better life,

Thomas explained that his truck and at least one other semi were stolen from the truck stop. According to WFTV, this is just the latest in a string of big rigs being swiped in Florida.

About 180,000 eggs were stolen earlier this year in Fort Myers. A truck with Hershey chocolate was also stolen in December in Volusia County, and a truck with Slimfast was swiped near downtown Orlando.

While the news of Thomas' truck being stolen is terrible on its own, watching him reduced to tears as he spoke with the reporter was just heartbreaking. It was painful to see the look on his face as he realized that may have just lost everything—shattering all the dreams of a better life he had for his family.

And then he received a phone call. Watch the video below.
