Based on the lyrics, everyone assumed Big Sean's single, 'IDFWU' is about his ex Naya Rivera—but he recently revealed something about the track that may shock you.

Earlier this week Sean did an interview and talked about his latest single "IDFWU" and to the surprise of many (including myself) revealed that the song wasn't written about his ex. As a matter of fact Sean says he even played the record for her when they were still together.

To get you up to speed, Sean broke off his engagement with ex-fiancee Naya Rivera earlier this year amidst rumors of cheating and all sorts of nasty he-said, she-said. Fast-forward to today and Sean is happily dating new girlfriend Ariana Grande, and Rivera has since married a longtime friend (on the same date she was supposed to marry Sean) who she began dating immediately after their breakup.

Even though Sean says the track isn't about Rivera, he did mention that he may have altered a few lines in the song to reflect real life since their split.

Speaking of real life—he continued to gush about his new chick, pop-princess Ariana Grande, and squashed rumors of diva-like behavior—specifically the speculation that she demands to be carried around everywhere she goes at all times.

Sean wouldn't give an official release date for his upcoming third studio album, but he did confirm that it features Kanye West and described it as a time capsule of the last year of his life.

Based on the headlines, the Detroit rapper may have a classic on his hands.
