Big Shark Caught In Lake Pontchartrain

The fisherman told us that he has fished that spot for 26 years and had never seen one of these before. The shark was caught at the mouth of Bayou Liberty/Bonfouca in Lake Pontchartrain.

Growing up in New Orleans we always swam in the lake. The only thing we were worried about were minnows nibbling on our feet.

The fish have definitely gotten bigger in the lake. To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't swim in Lake Pontchartrain if you paid me too. There are sharks in there!!!!

Just last year a little boy was attacked by a shark in Lake Pontchartrain.

You can call me whatever you want, but the only thing I'll do in the lake is fish.
