Natina Reed, lead singer of the 90's girl group Blaque, was killed in a hit-and-run accident in the early Saturday morning hours of October 27, 2012. According to reports, Reed was struck while she was crossing the street somewhere in Atlanta.

Tweets poured in after the news broke, with heartfelt messages for the singer/actress, who in addition to being known as one-third of the girl act Blaque, also starred in the 2000 hit comedy "Bring It On." Reed was the protege of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez, who was also in a girl group (TLC), and passed away at an early age, way too soon.

Friend and group member Brandi Williams tweeted: "Last night the world was changed forever, life will never be the same....she was my sister." Producer Isaac Hayes III offered his condolences with a photograph through Instagram.

Blaque achieved success in the late 90's as an Atlanta-based girl act, with hits "808" and "Bring It All to Me," which featured JC Chasez of 'NSYNC. It was rumored that Reed had been back in the studio with Blaque, working on a new album.

Reed is survived by her 10-year-old son, Tren Brown, with rapper Kurupt. She would have been 33 on Sunday.
