The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team is currently in second place in the Sun Belt Conference.  But if they're going to stay there, it will have to be without their point guard.

Coach Garry Brodhead confirmed he has suspended Jaylyn Gordon indefinitely for a violation of team rules.

Gordon is the second leading scorer on the Cajuns' team, averaging 14.9 points per game.  She also is the team leader in minutes played (33.8), three point field goals (39), three point percentage (.333), free throw percentage (.772) and assists per game (3.9).

Gordon scored 20 of her 23 points in the second half Saturday to lead the Cajuns to a come-from-behind 56-53 win over Troy.  The Cajuns are 14-3 on the year and 7-1 in league play.  They face Texas State Thursday afternoon at 5pm at the Cajundome.
