Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun football team returns to the gridiron on Saturday afternoon, when coach Mark Hudspeth’s squad plays host to the New Mexico St Aggies in a Sun Belt Conference contest.

Louisiana plays two of their final three games at home.

The Cajun Harley Davidson Tailgate show begins at 2 o'clock on ESPN 1420 and espn1420.com, with the rest of the network, including Hot 107.9 and 1079ishot.com, joining the broadcast in time for the Hampton Toyota Pregame Show, which will begin at 3 pm.

Kickoff time at Cajun Field is set for 4 o'clock.

Louisiana, winners of three of their last five, lost to South Alabama on Thursday of last week, 32-25, and is currently 4-5, overall, on the season, and 3-2 in Sun Belt Conference play.

Offensively, the Cajuns are averaging 28.8 points-per-game, along with 392.7 total yards, 192.0 rushing yards, and 200.7 passing yards, while allowing 30.7 points, 411.3 total yards, 178.9 rushing yards, and 232.4 passing yards.

Louisiana is led by junior running back Elijah McGuire, who has compiled 770 yards, along with 10 touchdowns, on 161 carries.

New Mexico St., who was idle last week, will head into the match-up at 2-7, overall, and 2-3 in league play.

Offensively, the Aggies are averaging 27.0 points, along with 430.1 total yards, 192.1 rushing yards, and 238.0 passing yards a contest, while allowing 45.8 points, 542.7 total yards, 274.1 passing yards, and 168.3 rushing yards.

New Mexico St. is paced by senior running back Larry Rose III, who has rushed for 1,286 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Louisiana leads the all-time series, 6-3, including a 44-16 win over New Mexico St. last season.
