The Chris Brown and Trey Songz concert scheduled for New Orleans' Smoothie King Center on Feb. 5 has officially been postponed.

The highly anticipated tour was set to kick off on Jan. 27 in Hampton, Va, but some dates have been postponed due to Brown's ongoing legal issues. A judge required Brown to finish his community service hours before going on tour.

The terms of Brown's probation stem from the 2009 incident when he assaulted Rihanna—his girlfriend at the time. After his probation was revoked (for traveling out of state without permission) prosecutors wanted to jail Brown, but the judge allowed him to remain free, requiring he finish his community service hours before going on the Between The Sheets Tour.

The R&B star posted this message to his Instagram letting his fans know that some shows would have to be delayed:

I would first like to apologize to all the fans and people who have been supporters of me and all the music over the years. The beginning of the BTS tour has been moved to later dates now. The judge would not sign off on my travel to do the tour until I finish these last 100 hours of community service. I promise that I am busting my ass doing it everyday until it's complete. This is the most disappointing news I've gotten in a while. Everything happens for a reason so I wanted to personally inform my fans. The show must go on. Out of 1000 hours I only have 100 left. I will work my ass off to complete it and I will be on that stage. Once again I'm sorry for the delay. I love yall! We will let yall know the dates that are changed. It's not cancelled. Just moved around a couple weeks.

According to NOLA.com, the concert for the New Orleans show was nearly sold out, and was also set to feature rapper Tyga. Live Nation issued a statement yesterday (Feb. 3) stating that New Orleans' Smoothie King Center stop would be one of the dates affected by the singer's legal issues.

Information for rescheduled date is available at Livenation.com. Refunds will be available at point of purchase for those who cannot attend rescheduled date.

Tickets given away on Hot 1079 should be valid for the rescheduled date, but we suggest contacting Live Nation to confirm.
