Kanye West's support for Donald Trump has inspired its fair share of criticism from rappers and fans. Wednesday night (Aug. 1) on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Diddy shared his own thoughts on the apparent friendship and said it doesn't interest him at all.

"Are you in any way jealous of Kanye's relationship with President Trump?" Kimmel asked.

"Nah," Diddy replied as the crowd laughed. "Nah, I'm good. I'm good."

Puff smiled and declined to elaborate on why he doesn't envy wearing signed MAGA hats and earning Trump's retweets. He also clarified that he doesn't have presidential ambition.

"I wouldn't make a good president," he said. "I wouldn't really pass any of the things that you have to pass. But I guess Trump did it."

Diddy visited the show to promote the season finale of The Four, the singing competition on which he serves as a meme-friendly judge. In his conversation with Kimmel, the mogul explained that his primary goal is to empower black entertainers.

"I'm becoming the stage. To be able to be a platform for up-and-coming artists, creatives, and just different people that wouldn't get a chance to be seen or heard," he said. "I represent Black excellence and really changing the narrative."

The near-billionaire was last in the news when the CEO of his media company Revolt was accused by a former employee of discriminating against Black people. Combs denied those allegations.
