Janet Jackson is now part of an exclusive club that boasts Oprah Winfrey and author J.K. Rowling as its members. The R&B icon is a billionaire.

Variety devoted a special page on its website to honor the veteran songbird, who recently celebrated her 47th birthday on May 16.

The entertainment publication reports that over the course of Janet's career -- between albums, movies and touring -- she has reached billionaire status. Of the singer's worth, she raked in $458 million from touring, $304 million from films, $260 million from album sales and $81 million from sponsorships.

But Janet is not the only billionaire in her family. Her husband, Wissam Al Mana, whom she married in December, is in the "B" club thanks to his investments in the Middle East.

The lauded songstress is currently working on music for her next album -- her first in over five years. The 'All for You' singer told Billboard that she's still in the initial stages of recording songs. "We are creating the concept and initial thoughts on the music," she said. "I am excited about the direction that we're taking."

Congrats to Janet Jackson! It's good to see that she is still in control.
