Lil Wayne is one of the biggest music artists in the world, but he can't go more than two months without coming home to New Orleans.

In a video produced by Fader and Beats By Dre, Lil Wayne gives major props to the city from which he came. Many refer to Weezy as one of the best rappers alive but Wayne says that he had to aim high just to be recognized in his city due to its rich musical heritage.

I'm not sure if this vignette is some sort of trailer or preview for an extended video set to be released at a later date, but the clip features footage of Wayne as a young teenager alongside of fellow Hot Boy Juvenile spliced with visuals of the two performing this past weekend as part of the NBA All-Star celebrations.

We'll keep you posted if any other related videos are released.
