Lil Wayne Reveals The Album Cover For ‘Tha Carter IV’

Lil Wayne has PROMISED (I heard it with my own ears) that his anticipated album 'Tha Carter IV' would be out on May 16th. Rumors have circulated that the album will be pushed back to some time in June, but Weezy himself said at a recent tour stop in New Orleans, that his upcoming album WILL be out on May 16, 2011.

The artwork has been released and it features Wayne circa 1987 (check the tassel) in a graduation portrait. A closer look and you will notice they did a great photoshop job, accurately placing all of Lil Wanye's current tattoos on the 5 year old version of "the best rapper alive."

If you remember 'Tha Carter III', you will recall similar photoshop work on an even younger picture of Weezy suggesting that this album represents "growth" and "maturity." Nevertheless there is a pattern and I think it's pretty slick.
