None of the mystique surrounding Lorde was shattered on Friday (Oct. 4) when the New Zealand-born singer, 16, performed her smash hit 'Royals' on 'Good Morning America.' She continues to intrigue us, even as boy bander Joe Jonas hurled a diss her way.

Remaining mostly static during the performance, with her larger-than-life hair falling in and thus being tossed around her face, it was all about Lorde's voice and her words. She was captivating as she sang.

The singing sensation was cute and slightly dramatic, employing some facial contortions and hand movements while she performed, too.

Everything about Lorde is stunning and mysterious, and the latter is probably how the Kiwi singer likes it.

Lorde recently made some comments about Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez, regarding how young girls idolize the singers of which they are fans. It was easy to see how her words could have been taken out of context and be seen as some sort of criticism or trash talk. But that's not what she was doing.

That lead to Joe Jo dissing Lorde on Twitter, in a bit of an uninformed way. He posted: "Hey @lordemusic you say call me Queen B but you shouldn't be attacking all the true Queen B---hes's #respect."

We're not sure why he of all people needed to comment on this subject, especially since he didn't exactly respect T. Swizzle when he broke up with her in a half-minute phone call.

It just feels sorta silly for him to get involved, especially when Lorde's comments weren't really an attack on anything other than cultural mores.
