In the latest development of the ongoing saga surrounding a bar fight that allegedly involved LSU football players, Jordan Jefferson and Joshua Johns have been arrested and booked on felony battery charges. They turned themselves in to authorities earlier today at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

Both players have since been released from jail after posting a $5,000 bond.

Jefferson and Johns both face a 2nd-degree battery charge for their alleged roles in a fight at Shady's, a local Baton Rouge bar, last week.

As a result of their arrest, LSU Head Coach Les Miles has suspended Jordan Jefferson and Josh Johns from the LSU football team indefinitely.

“Jordan and Josh have been suspended indefinitely,” Miles said. “We will continue to cooperate with the authorities in an effort to find out exactly what took place during the incident.

“As sad as this incident is, it’s important that we learn from this and that we take away a valuable lesson. This has weighed on all of us. It’s time for us to come together as a team and focus on what we are here to do.”
