Three Arrested After Man Allegedly Pulls Knife During Altercation At Lafayette Walmart [VIDEO]

Shoppers at Walmart on Evangeline Thruway started off 2015 with a scare after a man allegedly pulled a knife during an altercation on New Year's Day.

On Thursday afternoon (Jan 1) two men exchanged words as things got heated near checkout area at Walmart on the north side of Lafayette. Multiple videos appeared on social media showing the altercation.

Shoppers that witnessed the altercation say that one man began shouting at another man as he walked near the checkout area. Even as the man walked away from the checkout area, the other man kept shouting at him—and when he returned to the area things became intense as the men shoved buggies into one another which led to one man pulling out a knife.

According to witnesses both men and a woman were arrested once police arrived.
