Ne-Yo Plays Santa, Gifts Thousands of Kids Across the Country Through Charity
It’s the season of giving and Ne-Yo has no problem setting an example. The singer is playing Santa to children who are less fortunate, but are more than deserving to receive a present under the tree this time of year.
For the fifth year, the ‘Let Me Love You’ crooner is traveling to several cities for his holiday giving tour under his Compound Foundation. His mother is president of the charity.
KTLA news covered his charitable trek when he made a stop in Los Angeles. Ne-Yo visited a local Boys and Girls Club where the singer spoke, signed autographs and of course made sure 500 children, both at-risk and in foster care, left with brand new bicycles and clothing.
As a father of two, a 1-year-old and 3-month-old, the singer expressed his reasons for his altruistic ways. “It’s hard for me to fathom any parent that would abandon their kids for whatever reason,” he told KTLA. “That doesn’t compute with me.”
Other cities on Ne-Yo’s annual giving tour include Atlanta and Newark, N.J.
