New KFC Item Arriving to Louisiana Menus Sooner Than You Think

In Louisiana we are well versed in finding cleaver ways to add fried chicken to our diet one way or another. One popular combination is fried chicken and red beans and rice. While some may turn their nose up at the combo of the two, as they say, don't knock it until you try it.

This new menu item at KFC is one of those combinations that also has people scratching their heads while also not being able to deny being slightly intrigued. The U.S. is some what late to the party though because it has actually been a globally loved menu item since 2015 when it was first introduced to customers in the Philippines.

From their it hit menus in Germany, Korea, Taiwan, India, and Span just to name a few. We were shocked to learn that we didn't get the memo until now considering it has America written all over it.

When Can You Try The Chizza?

While New York City, famous for it's pizza, got a special sneak peak at the KFC's popup event over the weekend, Louisiana fans eager to try it can get their hands on it starting Monday.

"Starting Feb. 26, The international hit, Chizza is coming to KFC menus in the U.S for a limited time. It’s not pizza, it’s Chizza: two 100% white meat Extra Crispy fried chicken filets topped with zesty marinara sauce, melty mozzarella cheese and pepperoni."
