Nicki Minaj stopped by 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno' on Monday (Jan. 14), where she dished on her feud with 'American Idol' co-judge Mariah Carey.

Minaj kept the interview PG, admitting that she admires the R&B superstar. "Yes, I'm one of her biggest fans in the world, darling," she told Leno. The host prodded a little more and asked if the fights between the two celebs were fixed. Minaj replied, "It definitely isn't a fake feud, that I can say it for a fact."

The rapper also discussed how things tend to escalate between her and Carey, and joked with the late-night talk show host about her own short fuse. "I wouldn't say I have a temper. Well, I don't know ... last year I did," she explained, laughing. "In 2013, baby, I'm on the road to recovery."

Minaj was on her best behavior, recounting her time at New York's Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, where she auditioned and got in for acting. The 'Starships' singer also admitted she had aspirations to be a bus driver when she was a kid, and joked about how, if she were elected into office, her first order of business would be to legalize illegal U-turns. Nicki Minaj for President!

The season premiere of 'American Idol' will air tomorrow, Jan. 16 and Jan. 17 on FOX at 8PM ET.
