Heiress Paris Hilton is really squicked out when people leak their sex tapes in order to gain fame and notoriety -- even though a leaked sex tape is probably the only reason any of us have ever heard of her.

In fairness, though, she (by all accounts, anyway) had nothing to do with that tape being made public.

"It's very bizarre to me to see girls purposely doing it to launch a career, and I think it's kind of pathetic and disgusting. It was the most painful thing I ever went through in my life," Hilton told the Daily Mirror.

Speaking about '1 Night in Paris,' the 2003 tape leaked by ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon, she added, "This was not just some random person, it was my boyfriend who I was with for a few years and who I really loved and trusted. It was such a violation of everything."

"I was so hurt and so in shock and it's been hard for me to ever really trust anyone again, especially guys, because it's the most horrible thing you could do to a person."

The lesson, kids, is don't get busy in front of video cameras. You know, unless you're Kim Kardashian. Or Farrah Abraham. Or any of the countless other girls who now see intentionally-leaked sex tapes as the express ticket to fame and fortune.

As for Paris, she has a new lease on life these days. She has a billion-dollar business and has been dating 21-year-old Spanish model River Viiperi since last September -- and even though he's 11 years her junior, he seems to have been a grounding influence.

"I'm staying out of trouble and away from negative people," she said. "I don't go out that much any more unless it's for work, so I'm happy to be a businesswoman and focus on more important things."
