PartyNextDoor Remembers Meeting Drake for the First Time in New Nardwuar Interview

Three years after his introduction to the mainstream, PartyNextDoor remains something of a mystery man, so fans have to relish any chance they get to understand who he is and how he came to be. In a recent interview with journalist Nardwuar, they got the chance to do just that when PND dropped off all sorts of info about his career, including the first time he met Drake. Check out his interview below.

Unsurprisingly, Party says he and Drizzy met in the place where both of them made their name—the booth. "First time I met Drake was 2012 at a studio in Toronto," he tells Nardwuar, who then mentioned Toronto-based producer Jordan Evans, the man who put Party on the path to meeting Drizzy.

"He was an old producer of mine, of a lot of old music that never got released," reveals Party, who dropped off his insanely dope Colours 2 EP a little over a month ago. "He got my music to Boi-1da, then it was Oliver [El-Khatib], and then Drake." Sounds about right to us.

Elsewhere in the interview, Party confirms that he's signed producers Murda Beatz and G. Ry to his Party's OMO record label. A bit later, Nardwuar gifts PND a 12-inch Jodeci vinyl, and PND says R. Kelly's song, "I Believe I Can Fly" changed his life. Safe to say he's just delivered another dope interview.
