Pharrell Williams shocked people when he wore his now infamous Buffalo hat the 2014 Grammy Awards. So how does he top that? Well, the producer donned a shorts tuxedo (or a "shux") at the 2014 Academy Awards. And yes, it now has a Twitter.

It’s a bold fashion statement to say the least.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Williams wore a Bermuda tuxedo on the red carpet. The short tux, designed by Lanvin, showed off his slender legs and his tattoo. Everything else seems sartorial correct from the jacket, tie, lapel pin and black-and-grey hard bottoms.

However, a few critics frowned at Williams’ fashion choice.

"Why is pharrell wearing capris? Dude c'mon now you're at the oscars," tweeted one watcher. "@Pharrell is working the shorts very well at the #Oscars2014!" wrote another fan.

And, inevitably, Skateboard P’s shorts has a Twitter account.

What do you think of Pharrell Williams' shorts tuxedo that he wore at the 2014 Academy Awards? Yay or Nay?
