Players Reject NFL Settlement Offer in Bounty Case
Former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue is expected to rule Tuesday
on the appeal of four players suspended in connection with the alleged New Orleans Saints bounty program.
The four, Will Smith, Jonathan Vilma, Scott Fujita and Anthony Hargrove rejected a settlement offer because it would have required the acknowledgement of some culpability.
The players have been generally happy with the way Tagliabue has handled the proceedings, in part because it allowed them to cross examine witnesses.
