We live in a day and age where being gay isn't a "shameful" thing anymore. We are even beyond having to say things like "some of my best friends are gay." It's 2012, and what's shameful is if you are still discriminating against others based on their sexuality. At a press conference Tuesday, Tracy Morgan apologized for homophobic comments he made during a recent stand-up performance in Nashville, Tennessee.
Speaking alongside Kevin Rogers, the Facebook user who first made Morgan’s comments public, the Emmy-nominated ’30 Rock’ star said, “I want to apologize to my friends, and my family and my fans and everyone in every community who were offended with this. I didn’t know. I didn’t mean it… I don’t have a hateful bone in my body. I don’t believe that anyone should be bullied or just made to feel bad about who they are.”
