Things have sadly gone a bit awry in Waco, Texas for the Southwest Region of the Little League Tournament. Three teams were sent home yesterday after having at least one positive COVID-19 test.
The Lafayette League All-Stars were dominant in their opening-round game of the Southwest Region in Waco, Texas last night, cruising to a 6-1 win over Texas West.
“Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong for Lafayette, Louisiana.”Those words were spoken by play-by-play broadcaster James P. Bitterman in the bottom of the 5th inning. And he was right.
The Lafayette Little League Junior League All Stars (13-14 year old) are now 2-0 in pool play after defeating Massapequa, New York, (US East) by the score of 5-0 in the Junior League World Series in Taylor, Michigan.
Yesterday evening, Chris Reed & I joined the city of Lafayette in welcoming home our Boys of Summer, after representing our city, state and country at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA.
