December 19, 2011 On Saturday December 17th history was made in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. The Ragin Cajuns won their first ever bowl game as they defeated the San Diego State Aztecs 32-3o in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.
So what happens during finals week at a college? Most people think of studying, boat loads of stress, staying up late hours, etc. The students this semester at UL Lafayette had a better idea though, FLASH RAVE!!!!!!!!!

What a great season for the Ragin Cajun football team, we're undefeated at home this year and headed into the final game against Arizona at 8 and 3! Along with the Cajuns success in 2011, the season will not not be over after Saturday's game against Arizona.....It's time to go BOWLING!! ESPN.go has a great blog on the first year head coach of UL's Ragin Cajuns Football Team. For what was expected to be a "down year" or "rebuilding year" for the program, Coach Hudspeth has taken the reigns and single handily re-built a program over night. The Cajuns are 6-1 on the season, and undefeated in Sun Belt Conference play. “Our team has bought into the work ethic I wanted to bring into our program,” Hudspeth said in a recent phone interview.
